Menu

The combinations from the buffet are endless, and our customers have their favorite ways of doing things - soup on the vegetables, spinach garnishing the soup, layers of curry, rice and pasta sauce. Then, there's the condiment bar with curry-spiced peanuts, vegan "baco" bits, flavored vinegars and oils and a variety of hot sauces.

Salad
Each day, Gaia's Garden offers a full salad bar with homemade dressings: Toasted Sesame, Tomato Herb, Tofu Dill, Bell Pepper Ranch, Honey Mustard, Almond Blend and our new Oil-Free Sun-Dried Grape Balsamic.

Soups
Dahl, an Indian-spiced yellow split pea soup is offered each day because folks love it so much. A second soup du jour might be Creamy Carrot, Tomato Coconut or Caribbean Black Bean. All the soups are vegan and all except the dahl are sugar-free. All the soups are gluten-free as well.

Main Courses
A vegetable curry (vegan, sugar and gluten-free) is featured each day, served with white and brown rices, steamed vegetables, pasta or polenta and sauce.  Dinner includes an entree, such as enchiladas, eggplant parmesan or rack o'tofu.

Bread
We make our own.  Our cornbread is "down home," dark and not too sweet. It's accompanied by whole-wheat loaf bread. All breads are vegan.

Dessert

Halavah is prepared from farina, Indian-style. There is also a vegan pudding included with the buffet - either coconut tapioca or chocolate.   Try some with our great coffee, tea or chai.

If you are allergic to anything, or on a special diet, we will be happy to go over each item with you. No meat, poultry or fish are used in the kitchen at all, but we do use peanuts, wheat, pepper, citrus, tomatoes and other common allergens.  Because we are a buffet, we cannot make special dishes to your order. While we make the effort to keep ingredients separated, if even minute quantities of an allergen that we use are life-threatening to you, we regretfully suggest that you not join us for a meal.

Wine and Beer

We have a lovely selection, chosen to compliment our food and available by the glass or bottle. Choose from  Wattle Creek Sauvingon Blanc 2008; Kenwood Yulupa Chardonney 2009; Kenwood Yulupa Old Vine Zinfandel 2009;  Kenwood Yulupa Merlot 2009; Mark West Pinot Noir 2009; Bonterra Organic Viognier 2009; Pacific Rim Gevertztraminer Columbia Valley 2010; Yuki No Bosha Sake; Fuki Sake, Croft Fine Ruby Port and Croft Aged Tawney Port and Piper Sonoma Blanc de Blancs champagne. If you prefer to bring your own, we have a moderate corkage fee ($8).

Beers include Lagunitas IPA and Lagunitas Censored, Trumer Pils, Blue Heron Pale Ale, Dogfish Head Chicory Stout and  Singha Lager (premium imported Thai beer).

Wyders Pear Cider and Fox Barrel Blackberry Pear Cider go wonderfully with all our food - lightly carbonated, not to sweet, just right!

Clausthaler non-alcoholic beer is another option. If you've been turned off the non-alcs by O'Douls and its ilk, give this German brew a try. It's in a whole other league. Other celebratory non-alcoholic options include San Pellegrino sparkling water and Martinelli's Sparkling Cider.

PRICING

Our menu board is duplicated below. For a limited time, or maybe forever, we're offering the "Blue Plate Special"  for $6.95. This is one trip through the buffet line with our 9.5 inch oval platter - whatever you want to put on it at lunch. At dinner, the offer includes just one serving of the entree, then whatever else you want to put on the plate.  You may also add a cup of soup or a small bowl of pudding for $2, which only makes sense at dinner (at lunch, just get the whole buffet for the same price!).

The regular buffet is "all you care to eat," and thus cannot be shared - nor can leftovers be taken home.  All of our food may be ordered "to go." 25 cents per container will be added to the price (for the full buffet, you get three containers). The container charge will be waived for customers bringing stainless steel tiffins. Other to-go products are not acceptable for reasons of portion control and sanitation.

The Go Local Rewards card saves regular customers about $1 per full buffet meal over time. The card is available at the restaurant for no charge and may be used at many local businesses.

For parties of more than six people, a 10% gratuity will be charged at the register.

We happily accept IMS scrip. Tax and a 10% gratuity must be paid in cash.
